Celebrate Fathers with David Andrews and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA ––On Sunday, June 8, 2 pm, Barnes & Noble Booksellers (1201 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA, 90401) will celebrate fathers as role models with the launch of My Father’s Day Gift by National Education Expert David Andrews in conjunction with a book fair to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles.

David Andrews is one of the nation’s foremost experts on mentoring and the impact of adults on the emerging lives of children and young adults. Written in memory of his own father, My Father’s Day Gift is a fictionalized memoir about the important, yet often ignored influence of fathers as role models in shaping the character of a child. Filled with inspiring vignettes, based on the author’s life, the book also highlights the vital impact of mentors and suggests that their influences are not derived from lengthy conversations or direct instruction, but the distinct and impressionable moments in everyday interactions that matter.

Join David Andrews and BBBSGLA for a community event, filled with stories, laughter, inspiration, and family fun.
