As national holidays such as Flag Day and Independence Day jump start this summer season, are most people really more concerned about their shopping list for the family barbecue than the birth of a nation? Especially children whom often find history boring or think of it vaguely as dusty facts in a school book.
To wake children to the excitement of history and instill a joy of learning and understanding of our country’s history, acclaimed children’s author J. Scott Fuqua recently released Calvert the Raven in the Battle of Baltimore.
